XRF (X-ray fluorescence)
All scrap gold received by MPMR is first tested using the X-Ray Fluorescence technique, a non-destructive process to measure a specific combination of metals for internal control, using highly sophisticated and accurate XRF Equipment,
After melting and casting the incoming customer materials into bars, XRF (X-ray fluorescence) test is performed again to detect the Homogeneity of gold received from the customer.
Fire Assay
Our refinery uses the time tested and proven Internationally accepted Fire Assay process which continues to be the most accurate way to verify the purity of Precious Metals to provide Fineness (Purity) according to International Standards.
The gold alloys are inquarted with silver, compounded with lead and cupelled in a Cupellation Furnace until a precious metal button is obtained. After flattening and rolling, the silver is extracted (parted) in nitric acid and the gold is weighed. To ensure the accuracy of the process, standard proof samples are used.
Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP)
We use a sophisticated High-Precision Instrument to measure any combination of metals to parts-per-million levels of accuracy. Extremely minute traces of metals that would otherwise be undetectable can be detected using this equipment.
The Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) equipment is used to ensure the quality of final products of Pure Gold & Silver in addition to control of the internal processes.
